Tingalls Graphic Design Staff
Tara Ingalls, Owner
A Virginia native, but true Wisconsin Badger, Tara is actually a self-taught graphic designer. She began offering freelance graphic design services in 1999 and quickly developed a niche in Madison offering high end, eye-catching designs with unheard of turnaround. Over a decade later, the company continues to grow specializing in marketing solutions for companies and nonprofits of all sizes and industries. Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 daughters, going to the movies and driving open-wheeled Indy racecars. While her favorite cup of coffee is from Panera, no one dares try to bring her a cup. Her concoction of half-n-half plus 3 different flavors of coffee is hard to master.
Jess Scholz, Account Manager
A graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, Jess has her bachelor's in graphic design and a minor in journalism and mass communication. Her natural skills in communication, organization and time management make her a great asset to the Tingalls team. Outside of Tingalls, Jess enjoys spending time with her husband, going for runs with her Siberian husky Nakita, playing ultimate frisbee and hanging out with friends. While at home she can often be found cooking and baking and dreaming of vacation destinations. She also looks amazing in the color green.
Sierra Lewis, Account Manager
A West Coast native, Sierra graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Consumer Science. She takes great pride in the motto "clients always come first" which makes her an excellent fit at Tingalls. When Sierra is not working she loves to travel, spend time with her dog Teddie, fiancé Glenroy and grilling out with friends. She is also a coach for the YMCA swim team, loves training for full marathons and is the main source of a lot of laughter in the Tingalls office. The way to Sierra's heart is through candy and you'll be her best friend if you get your hands on Nerd Jelly Beans or Watermelon Sour Patch Wedges.
JoAnna Niven, Office Manager
JoAnna Niven joins the Tingalls team with a degree in early childhood education from the University of Wisconsin. From a farm kid living in the northwoods of Wisconsin to teaching in the Chicago public school system, she enjoys new experiences and challenges. JoAnna brings many skills to the office setting including her love of organization (we are all thankful for that!). Outside work, JoAnna can be found with her daughter Arianna in one hand and a camera in the other. She has photographed many spectacular sights while traveling the states and abroad and is also an amazing pregnancy and birth photographer.
Bert, aka "the token male"
Bert the sheep joined our clan in the Spring of 2011. He assists our staff with direct mail piece licking, guards our entrance during off hours and keeps us all up to speed on the latest viral YouTube video. Our office just wouldn't be the same without him. Learn more about Bert at Heartland Farm Sanctuary >>
Whitney Hein,
Graphic Designer
Whitney graduated from UW-Stout with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Digital Photography. Her skills include extensive experience with print and identity design as well as photography. When Whitney's not designing at Tingalls she can be found whipping up a loaf of her delicious banana bread, taking a bike ride to the Farmer's Market, or relaxing at the Union with friends. While she loves Madison and everything it has to offer, she also enjoys traveling and most recently ventured to Costa Rica where she went zip-lining for the first time. Sometimes appearing as the silent-type here at Tingalls, don't discount her witty one-liners and hilarious phone accents.
Anneliese Kanter-Cronin, Graphic Designer
Anneliese is a graduate from Madison Area Technical College with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. Her design interests include, pattern and surface design, branding, and packaging design. In her free time she enjoys perusing antique shops for vintage photographs, going to concerts with friends and knitting. Anneliese also loves Middle Eastern/Indian food, shoes and has been known to pop a mean bag of micro popcorn in the afternoon.
Kallie Johnson,
Junior Graphic Designer
Kallie graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a Bachelor's Degree in English and Public Relations. After graduation, she went to London for an internship at a Fashion PR Firm where she caught the traveling bug. Upon returning, she moved to Madison to earn a degree from Madison College in graphic design and illustration. In her free time she enjoys traveling, running, boating, antique shopping, and Brewers baseball. She also loves the color purple, red velvet cake, and Spotted Cow.
Alyssa Daubs, Graphic Design Intern
Finishing up her bachelor's degree in Graphic Design with a double minor in Media Arts and French, Alyssa is a senior at UW-Whitewater. She is a creative thinker and has a passion for using color and shapes to tell stories. She fuels this passion through graphic design and, in particular, branding. When Alyssa isn't designing, she loves anything outdoors whether it's a walk through the arboretum, an afternoon of fishing, or a hike at Governor Dodge. She also loves to sit back with some cheese curds and a good beer.
Kristin Kizer Abraham, Copywriter / SEO Specialist
Kristin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor's degree in Radio/TV/Film. Her writing background includes everything from award-winning documentaries for The Discovery Channel to thank you notes and anything in between. She is excited about bringing her skills to clients at Tingalls Graphic Design, offering general copywriting and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). When she finds a moment to get away from work, she likes to golf, design and knit clothing, lavish affection on her two "special needs" cats, and serves up every cocktail known to man during her Facebook bar.
