Owner, aka Chief Visionary Officer

A Virginia native, but true Wisconsin Badger, Tara is actually a self-taught graphic designer. She began offering freelance graphic design services in 1999 and quickly developed a niche in Madison offering highend, eye-catching designs with unheard of turnaround. Over a decade later, the company continues to grow specializing in start-up, small business and nonprofit branding and website design. Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 daughters and her favorite pastime is going to the movies. She was recently able to live a childhood dream of driving Indy and NASCAR racecars so next on the bucket list ... mastering Salsa.

jess scholzJess Scholz
Project Manager, aka Coordinator of Mission-Critical Operations

A graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, Jess has her bachelors in graphic design and minor in journalism and mass communication. Her natural skills in communication, organization and time management make her a great asset to the Tingalls team. Outside of Tingalls, Jess enjoys spending time with her husband AJ and Siberian husky named Nakita. While at home she can often be found cooking and baking for family and friends or dreaming of vacation destinations. She has recently discovered the joy of running and looks forward to training for her first half marathon.

kristin kizer abrahamKristin Kizer Abraham
Director of Word Placement & SEO Influencer

Kristin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor's degree in Radio/TV/Film. Her writing background includes everything from award-winning documentaries for The Discovery Channel to thank you notes and anything in between. She is excited about bringing a new level of service to Tingalls Dzyn and their clients, offering general copywriting and SEO copy. When she finds a moment to get away from writing and reading she likes to design and knit clothing, golf and lavish affection on her two "special needs" cats. Kristin is also a fair weather runner, which in Wisconsin means she doesn't get out that often.

Dennise BuhlmannDennise Buhlmann
Administrative Assistant, aka the Design Firm Whisperer

An East Coast native, Dennise studied out west and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelors in Sociology and Business Administration. Being a self-taught graphic designer, Dennise has excelled at numerous roles in the advertising industry bringing a wide variety of knowledge and experience to the Tingalls team.

Designer, aka Creatologist

Whitney Graduated from UW-Stout with a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Digital Photography. Her skills include extensive experience with print and identity design, as well as photography. When Whitney's not designing at Tingalls she can be found whipping up a loaf of her delicious banana bread, taking a bike ride downtown to the Farmer's Market, or relaxing at the Union with friends. While she loves Madison and everything it has to offer, she also enjoys traveling and most recently ventured to Costa Rica where she went zip-lining for the first time.

damis newmanDamis Newman
Designer, aka Intangible Asset Appraiser

Damis is a Madison native and graduate of Madison Area Technical College, with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. Her passions include branding and functional design. She is thrilled to be working and living in her hometown. Damis loves to cook but hates washing dishes. She and her husband have an ongoing competition for the best home cooked meal, their six year old son usually gets the tie breaking vote. Besides cooking (and eating) amazing food, her hobbies include digging in the dirt, jumping in leaf piles and biking around her neighborhood.

ali maanumAli Maanum
Designer, aka Coordinator of Synchronicity

Wisconsin northwoodsian at heart, Ali moved to Madison to attend MATC, where she graduated with a degree in graphic design and illustration. She enjoys every aspect of design, but thrives in creative brand identity. When Ali’s not designing, she likes to try her hand at unique recipes and backpacking through new countries. She also enjoys avidly searching the Madison real estate scene where she plans on purchasing her first home!

Bert - Heartland Farm SanctuaryBert, aka "The Coolest Sheep on Earth"

Bert the sheep joined our clan in the Spring of 2011. He assists our staff with direct mail piece licking, guards our front door during off hours and is our general "go-to" sheep for the latest viral YouTube video link. Our office just wouldn't be the same without him. Learn more >>
